FROM THE SENIOR PASTOR FEBRUARY 2020

Let the same mind be in you that was in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not regard equality with God as something to be exploited, but emptied himself, taking the form of a slave, and being born in human likeness. And being found in human form, he humbled himself and became obedient to the point of death—even death on a cross. Therefore God also highly exalted him and gave him the name that is above name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bend, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Philippians 2:5-11

These words from the apostle Paul are going to serve as our theme for the Lenten Wednesday evening worship services. This theme, At the Name of Jesus, will emphasize a different verse from the passage in Philippians 2:5-11. Our Lenten journey begins on February 26th, Ash Wednesday, in a day of repentance, reflection, worship at 7 PM, and the putting on of ashes.

As we travel the 40-day journey of Lent together to Easter, all are invited to eat before worship. Beginning on Ash Wednesday we will gather every Wednesday through April 1st at 6 PM for our soup & sandwich suppers and then worship with Holden Evening Prayer and a different focus in worship listed below.
