The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) designated September 9th, 2018 “God’s work. Our hands.” Sunday, a day of service. This year Christ the King’s service project involved putting stickers with contact information onto hotel sized bars of soap with S.O.A.P. information.
S.O.A.P. stands for Save Our Adolescents from Prostitution, and the group places these bars of soap in hotels, motels, gas stations, etc. where adolescents who are being trafficked may find them and call for help.
Following a pizza lunch, a number of CtK members & friends put the red contact information stickers on 1000 bars of soap.
