On Saturday, August 8th, Christ the King will host its 2015 Shine the Light Event from 12 noon until 8 pm. The event is free and open to the public.
There will be games, activities for children, and Christian music on the front lawn of the church. At 5:30 pm, Pastor Matthew Groenke will lead an outdoor worship service with communion in front of the building.
The performance schedule for the afternoon is:
12:00 – 1:00 pm – Russ Nottingham, Christian Country
1:30 – 2:30 pm – Amanda Joy Hall, Christian Contemporary
3:00 – 4:00 pm – Starlight Secret, Christian Alternative Rock
4:30 – 5:30 pm – Calvary’s Path, Bluegrass Gospel
5:30 – 6:30 pm – Worship with Communion, Pastor Matthew Groenke presiding
6:30 – 7:30 pm – On That Day, Christian Rock
7:30 – 8:30 pm – Youth activities until Twins Days fireworks
Bring lawn chairs, a blanket, a picnic, or food from the Twins Days Festival across the street. Hot dogs, sloppy Joes, chips, water, and coffee will be available for a free will offering. There will be tents as shelter from the elements.
