The CtK Tuesday Women’s Bible Study was started in 1996 and welcomes all interested women. They need not be affiliated with Christ the King or with the Lutheran Church. The group took a hiatus beginning in March 2020 when the COVID-19 pandemic closed all CtK activities. From February to May 2021 the group began meeting via Zoom on Tuesdays at 1:00 PM for one hour.
On Tuesday, July 13th, the group will meet at 10:00 AM in Room 105 plus on Zoom to complete Session One of “Just L.I.F.E. (Liberation Is For Everyone!): Just Truth by Angela T. !Khabeb from the July/August issue of Gather magazine. All women are invited. Everyone who is interested can go out to eat afterwards. The group will once in August before beginning weekly meetings a week after Labor Day.
Prior to the pandemic, the group met in Room 105 for an hour at 10 AM on Tuesdays from the second week in September through late May. During the summer the group typically meets once each month. See the current monthly Messenger or Weekend Messenger for details. Wendy Gibbons leads the group in sessions which include Bible study, prayer, fellowship, sharing, and occasional food.
During the school year the group studies the monthly Bible study found in Gather magazine, a publication of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). Women of all ages are welcome! When they meet in person, the women take a collection each week for ELCA Good Gifts.
