Lent is the somber 40-day season in the church year that leads up to Holy Week. It begins Ash Wednesday (February 18th, 2026) and ends on the Wednesday after Palm Sunday/Sunday of the Passion (March 29th, 2026), but the 40 days do not include Sundays. The 40 days are reminders of Jesus’ 40 days in the wilderness as he began his ministry immediately after his baptism.
CtK holds brief Midweek Lenten worship services on Wednesday evenings at 6:00 PM until the week before Holy Week. Everyone is invited to bring a brown bag lunch to enjoy in the company of others after the service.
