For over twenty years CtK has presented a special Easter cantata during worship after Easter Sunday. The cantata choir is made up of CtK members and friends 9th grade and older who rehearse on Wednesday evenings throughout the season of Lent. In recent years 25 to 30 singers have presented the cantata under the direction of Kevin Basom, Director of Music and Organist at CtK.
In 2019 the Easter cantata being prepared is Closer to the Cross: Celebrating the Journey of Christ. Rehearsal will be at 8:15 PM on Ash Wednesday, March 6th, and at 7:30 PM on Wednesdays from March 13th through April 10th.
